Baby clothing should be 2" larger than the actual baby's chest size. Also remember babies grow fast. Some babies are born large and some born very small. It is hard to tell before the baby is born what size the baby will need. It is better to have the baby garment larger rather than smaller than baby at birth and let the baby grow into it.

If you prefer another rise to the size, designate such when arranging for item to be created. No extra charge. If you are using bulky diapers, you might want to add 1½ to 2 inches to the rise for the size level chosen.

♥ When making items for newborns, especially hats, I use soft baby, sport, or Simply Soft type yarns.
♥ Babies have delicate skin - thick or chunky yarns will not work.

If you prefer elastic instead of cord tie at waist bands,designate such when requesting order. Cord tie is used for greater size adjustment. If you prefer a lot of ribbon on your item, request such when requesting order of item. Yarn applicque and embleshments are normally used instead of ribbon and ribbon is only used if requested.
